We get it, there’s a lot to think about when starting counseling. We’ll answer any questions you have.
Don’t see your question below? Feel free to reach out to us and we’d be happy to help.
We see clients 18 years of age and older; we do not see adolescents or anyone who is not their own guardian.
Please have your loved one who is over 18 years old make an appointment with us. We are not currently accepting anyone under 18 years old and do not have a waiting list. Please call your insurance for referrals.
We do not provide any court-ordered treatment. Unless subpoenaed, we do not go to court or provide any documents for court. If we are subpoenaed the cost is $240 per hour per therapist for any court-related events. This is not covered by insurance.
At this time we do not provide therapy to those on probation or parole.
Currently, all of our services can be done online or in person.
Please go to the Insurance & Fees page for more information about this topic.
At this time we are not contracted and do not take any EAP plans.
We only need one person’s insurance for each couple.
Due to the level of care we provide (outpatient, the lowest level of mental health care) we do not fill out or do any disability claims/FMLA paperwork. Additionally, the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health has stated that it is outside the scope of practice for counselors to provide this paperwork. Please contact your primary or psychiatrist to help you with this issue.
No, we do not. The American Counseling Association has deemed this outside counselors scope of practice.
You can make an appointment by:
Sessions are 46-50 minutes while intake appointments are 60-80 minutes.
The length of time a client is in counseling depends on the nature of the problem and the goals of the counseling. Group counseling generally goes on for 6-8 weeks, but individual and couples counseling varies. Some clients have a very specific problem that can be worked through in a set course of counseling. For others, counseling is an on-going learning process and they choose to receive counseling for a longer period.

We do not allow any firearms or smoking in our office. If you are found to have a firearm or if you are smoking in our office, you will be asked to leave. You may also be discharged from services if you violate the above policy.
We realize that life happens and try to work with every client individually as situations come up. No-shows and late cancellations (canceling with less than 24 hours before the appointment) will incur a late fee of $120. We are unable to bill your insurance for this fee.
