Frequently asked questions

Don’t see your question below? Feel free to reach out to us and we’d be happy to help.

Who we treat

What ages do you treat?

We see clients 18 years of age and older; we do not see adolescents or anyone who is not their own guardian.

I am really worried about my son/daughter/spouse; can I make an appointment for them?

Please have your loved one who is over 18 years old make an appointment with us. We are not currently accepting anyone under 18 years old and do not have a waiting list. Please call your insurance for referrals.

Do you provide any court ordered treatment, or go to court for family or other issues?

We do not provide any court-ordered treatment. Unless subpoenaed, we do not go to court or provide any documents for court. If we are subpoenaed the cost is $240 per hour per therapist for any court-related events. This is not covered by insurance.

Do you provide treatment to those who are on probation or parole?

At this time we do not provide therapy to those on probation or parole.

Billing & insurance

Where can I find more information about your cash rate, what insurances you take, and balance billing?

Please go to the Insurance & Fees page for more information about this topic.

Do you take EAP plans?

At this time we are not contracted and do not take any EAP plans.

Paperwork & forms we can provide

Will you fill out any paperwork or help me get disability or FMLA?

Due to the level of care we provide (outpatient, the lowest level of mental health care) we do not fill out or do any disability claims/FMLA paperwork. Additionally, the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health has stated that it is outside the scope of practice for counselors to provide this paperwork. Please contact your primary or psychiatrist to help you with this issue.

Can you write an emotional support animal (ESA) letter?

No, we do not. The American Counseling Association has deemed this outside counselors scope of practice.

Do you provide Gender-Affirming Evaluations?

Sessions & duration of care

How can I make an appointment?

You can make an appointment by:

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 46-50 minutes while intake appointments are 60-80 minutes.

How long will I be in therapy?

The length of time a client is in counseling depends on the nature of the problem and the goals of the counseling. Some clients have a very specific problem that can be worked through in a set course of counseling. For others, counseling is an on-going learning process and they choose to receive counseling for a longer period.
