Everyone walks through life holding on to things that shape how we view ourselves and our world. Over time, the weight of these experiences builds and can become heavy, sometimes unbearably so. Even though many people want to feel this weight lifted, they often don’t know where to start. For others, the fear of sharing the “burden” of their experience with another can be debilitating. If you are scared of being a “burden,” know that you do not have to shoulder your pain alone. In our sessions, you are free and encouraged to share your feelings and discuss your experiences in a safe and nonjudgmental space.
As a Masters level Counseling Intern, I have experience working with individuals 18 years and older on concerns related to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship stress, life transitions, family conflict and dysfunction, overwhelm, along with other mental health concerns. I have experience serving members of the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as other minority populations. I am a lifelong learner committed to furthering my competence and understanding the individual in front of me. Through evidence-based therapy techniques, my goal is to support and nurture the growth of my clients and, with time, lighten that mental load. I strive to create a warm, collaborate, and accepting environment in which you can build upon your skills, strengths, and self-acceptance in order to face your world confidently.
